CodeGreen CAD Tools

Fire alarm design for AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT

Fire alarm design, done right inside AutoCAD.

Clean, lightweight, AutoCAD-native tools that run on the commands you already know. Simple to use, and built to save designers time.

Works with AutoCAD 2024 and newer, including AutoCAD LT 2024 and newer, on Windows. An add-in, not a separate program.

What it does

Six tools for the rule-driven parts of fire alarm design.

Detector layout, wiring, risers, calcs and the sheet set, all inside AutoCAD.

Detector spacing and SLC wiring

Lay out detectors to NFPA 72 spacing, then wire the loop back to the FACU.

Risers and sheets

Risers built from your layout, with sheets and viewports set up for you.

Matrix and calcs

The fire alarm matrix, plus battery and circuit calculations.

Automated templates

Start every job the same way, with your layers, blocks and title blocks.

Sheet index and numbering

No sheet sets needed. The index keeps itself in order.

Keynotes

Clean keynotes without AutoCAD Architecture.

Built from real submittals

Designed around the drawing set the AHJ actually reviews.

A fire alarm submittal is more than devices on a floor plan. It's a cover sheet and device legend, layouts that meet NFPA 72 spacing, a riser that matches the layout, the sequence of operations matrix, battery and circuit calculations, and a sheet index that stays in order through every revision.

Joe has prepared those packages for 20 years, the same ones Titan delivers on fire alarm drawings for projects nationwide. CodeGreen CAD Tools puts that workflow into AutoCAD so every job starts the same way.

“I’ve designed fire alarm systems for 20 years. I don’t just talk about it, I’ve lived it, and I built these tools around what designers actually need.”

CodeGreen CAD Tools Questions

Does it work with AutoCAD LT?

Yes. CodeGreen CAD Tools works with AutoCAD 2024 and newer, including AutoCAD LT 2024 and newer, on Windows. LT now supports AutoLISP, which is what the tools run on.

Is it a separate drafting program?

No. It's an add-in that runs inside AutoCAD, on the commands you already know.

Who built it?

Joseph Montuori, NICET Level IV, who has designed fire alarm systems for 20 years and owns Titan Fire Protection. The tools grew out of his own design work and he uses them on real jobs.

How do I get it?

A closed beta is coming soon. Sign up to be notified when it opens. CodeGreen ITM inspection customers get CodeGreen CAD Tools free of charge.

Does Titan still prepare drawings?

Yes. If you would rather have the drawings done for you, Titan prepares NICET Level IV fire alarm drawings and AHJ submittal packages for projects nationwide.
